eu_enforcement_data

EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) has created a common database for the whole EU which identifies counterfeits or suspected counterfeits at the border and helps intervene. This way, the police and custom authorities of any member country can contact the owner of the right when an infringing product is found in customs. You must own valid trademarks or designs of the EU or a national one from one of the 28 member States and create an account to provide a valid address from the owner.

These are the services we offer to our customers:

  • Creating and mantaining the account with your company’s data and the description of its products associated with the rights of the trademarks and designs of which it owns; also providing relevant information that allows the custom authorities to quickly identify the infringing products.
  • Informing you of the alerts received by the custom authorities and providing legal advice on whether or not Customs should intervene (AFA) and how to do it.
  • Cooperating with law enforcement agencies in order to prevent the entry of suspected products.
