Patricia Ramos, Assistant Director-General and Patent, Technological Development and Innovation Manager of PONS IP, our consulting firm, has made it into one of the most reputable lists in the sector, the Managing IP’s Top 250 Women in IP, as one of the two hundred and fifty professionals having shown an ‘exceptional performance’ in the practice of intellectual property worldwide over the last year. Only five of these professionals are from Spain.
Parallel to this important acknowledgment granted annually by the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine, Patricia Ramos also earned her spot on the IP Stars global list as ‘Patent Star 2022’. In addition, alongside her in the ‘Trademark Stars’ category, the Trademark and Brand Intelligence Manager, Carmen González, and PONS IP’s lawyer specialized in intellectual property lawsuits, Jean Devaureix, are also included in this annual ranking.
IP Stars’ Top 250 Women in IP ranking has been published annually since 2013 by the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine and is the result of a detailed research and analysis of the work of the most outstanding female IP professionals, among more than 200 firms analyzed, across 30 national jurisdictions. To do so, they compile information obtained both from the professionals in the sector as a whole and from the clients themselves, as well as from the official data provided by the intellectual property offices in each country.
With a degree in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Ramos completed a graduate degree in Physical Chemistry at the Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse and was recently chosen to participate in the ‘Promociona’ Project, the Executive Program for Women in Senior Management promoted by CEOE and ESADE. Since 2017, Patricia Ramos has been part of the IAM Patent 1000, the international benchmark ranking of leading professionals in the sector worldwide thanks to her professional performance in patent prosecution. In addition, since the beginning of 2022, the Assistant Director-General of PONS IP has also been acknowledged by Leader’s League as an outstanding professional in the design of patent protection strategy.
