mALASIA mARCAS

On September 27, Malaysia became part of the Madrid system and, in two months (from December 27, 2019), it will be possible to protect new trademarks by designating this country in the international application.

Malaysia has become the 106th member of the Madrid System, which now covers a total of 122 countries in which it is possible to register trademarks through a single application.

If you wish to protect your trademark in Malaysia, international registration should be considered in order to extend the current coverage of your trademark in Southeast Asia, either by extending the protection of your existing international mark, or by filing a new application.

PONS IP is at your disposal and will be happy to provide you with advice so that you choose the best option to extend the protection of your trademarks in your international projects.
