PONS IP, a leading consulting firm specialising in comprehensive advice on industrial and intellectual property and new technologies for Spain, Europe and Latin America, has renewed its commitment to RedOTRI , acting as a sponsor of its Technical Seminars for yet another year. These Seminars will be held on 15 and 16 February within the framework of Foro Transfiere, the main R&D&I meeting in Southern Europe which will take place at the FYCMA headquarters in Malaga, and it is a must-attend event for Ecosystem Agents where they can establish new B2B contacts, network, find new partners, define strategic alliances and synergies, as well as reveal new products, services and innovative projects.
With these annual meetings, the RedOTRI Technical Seminars, as a network of Offices for the Transfer of Research Results for Spanish universities, aims to facilitate, promote and disseminate the role of universities as key elements within the national innovation system. On this occasion, PONS IP was also invited to participate in a round table to address the reality and challenges of spin-offs as one of the most strategic and effective lines of innovation that currently drive technology transfer activity and its arrival on the market.
The event will take place at 12 pm at the Malaga Trade Fair and Conference Centre and will include the participation of the Director of Legal Advice at PONS IP, Amaya Mallea, together with Sebastián López Suárez, Director of Innovation and Transfer at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, María Sacristán Rodríguez, Industrial and Intellectual Property Technician at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Coordinator of the RedOTRI Results Protection and Valuation Working Group, and Jose CondeHead of Business Creation at Fundació Bosch i Gimpera (UB) and member of the RedOTRI Spin-off Working Group.
During the colloquium, topics of interest to the OTRIs and their technicians will be addressed, such as success stories in technology transfer models, tools and legal strategy to promote public-private collaboration supported by industrial property and transfer contract models, as well as the impact of spin-offs on the evolution of the university transfer model to improve competitiveness in the public sector and create income earning opportunities.
