From 26 to 28 November, the capital will play host to Intellectual Property Week that the Madri+d Knowledge Foundation is organizing with the collaboration of PONS IP.
On Tuesday, 26 November, our colleague from the Patent Department, Isabel Marco will present a seminar on ‘Technology Watch. Patents’. Throughout the conference we will work interactively to familiarize attendees with the world of patents, database searches, information processing and their analysis.
The following day, Wednesday 27 November, Violeta Arnaiz, our company lawyer, will present a seminar entitled ‘Software and database’. The software has become a fundamental part of our technological environment, which explains why it has been the object of growing attention in legal-economic traffic. During the conference, she will analyze the tools to protect it, which differs from the traditional tools of intellectual property protection.
The third and final day of the conference will be on 28 November. Gabriel Castilla, Head of patents and designs in the engineering department at PONS IP will be addressing the field of designs with examples and case studies, paying particular attention to what to protect as a design, where and how to protect, and how to take action against similar designs in the future, in his seminar ‘Design as a protection of companies’ intangible assets’.
The series of conferences, which are free of charge and is held in the morning, are aimed at researchers, technology transfer managers and technology-based entrepreneurs.
To apply for a place in one of the seminars, fill in the application form. Within a few days, you will receive an e-mail indicating whether you have been definitively admitted to the seminar. Until then, your registration will not have been completed.
