Madrid, 14 July 2023.- PONS IP, a global consulting firm specialised in Intellectual Property, was awarded two new and important recognitions for the company’s outstanding performance in the last year. These awards were presented at the gala ceremony of the third edition of the Iberian Lawyer IP&TMT Awards convened by the prestigious legal publication Iberian Lawyer and held at the RIU Plaza Hotel in Madrid.

First, PONS IP was recognised as the best LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR PATENTS in Spain in 2022. Moreover, our Director of Patents, Ana Herrera, earned the award for best Lawyer of the Year in the area of LIFE SCIENCES. With these two awards, our company has earned a total of ten recognitions in just 3 years since the start of these awards in Spain, thereby consolidating the national leadership of one of the largest teams of industrial property professionals in Spain.

In addition to the attendance of our Director of Patents, Ana Herrera, PONS IP was widely represented at the awards ceremony by Patricia Ramos, Deputy Director-General, Carmen Redondo, European Patent Attorney and member of the consulting firm’s Patent Department, and Juan Luis Antolín, Director of Communications at the company.

The Premios Iberian Lawyer IP & TMT, which celebrates its third edition this year, has already established itself as the benchmark event in the legal sector and aims to highlight the excellence of the legal market in the scope of intellectual property protection, telecommunications and best practices in the legal field applied to new technologies. According to the publication, intellectual property is a strategic asset for advanced societies in an increasingly competitive market and as such, it must be supported and valued for the good of society as a whole.

In this edition, Iberian Lawyer received the advice of a jury composed of prominent professionals specialising in intellectual property and telecommunications law at large international companies and IBEX 35 companies.
